The three meanings of the i

Innovation — STEAM is not an acronym for a list of subjects. It is the integration of those disciplines in service of making new things possible. The i names what that integration is for.

Inversions — questions from outside the frame of reference. Where conventional analysis works within the established framing, Inversions ask what the framing itself cannot see: what if the accepted view is exactly backwards? What is the question this problem has not yet thought to ask?

Inclusion — everyone is included and supported. The best ideas come from the widest possible room. No discipline, background, or perspective is treated as peripheral, because the insight that changes everything often arrives from exactly the direction no one was watching.
